Learn About Us

Worldwide non-profit charity organization

Snehanjana Trust was initiated in 2024 when a group of friends came together with the intention of giving back to the society. They were inspired by the thought and philosophy of Peter Senge, the founder of the Society for Organizational Learning who has propagated that “sustainability, social equality and the environment are now business problems…” and corporate leaders can’t expect governments to solve them alone. Established in 2024, Snehanjana Trust is an Indian development organization, impacting the lives of over 5 thousands children and their families every year. We have more than 20 projects on education, healthcare, livelihood, and women empowerment in over 32 remote villages and urban slums across 2 states of India.
What triggered these thoughts was the liberalisation of the Indian economy in the 1990’s which brought with it immense opportunities. Business revived, and India became not just a market, but also an investment prospect for the developed world. Disposable incomes and early settlements became a living reality for the working middle-class. For the first time in India, professionals could think beyond making a living, and contribute towards the society.
Snehanjana Trust works as a catalyst in the cycle of change, complementing and supplementing government efforts (view details) to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. We sensitize and partner with like-minded institutions and individuals to implement high-impact programmes that enable access, enhance quality and help bring long term behavioural change at the grassroots.

What We Do?

We believe that we can save more lifes with you

Healthy Food

People are less likely to die prematurely. Many children lose their parents, and many parents lose their children because of issues that stem from malnourishment and poor health.A healthy diet is essential for good health and nutrition. It protects you against many chronic noncommunicable diseases, such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer.

Pure Water

Drinking clean and pure water is essential for your physical as well as mental health. Apart from improving digestion, removing water, and maintaining hydration, it relieves stress, improves mood, and keeps you calm.

Health Care

Providing need-based healthcare services to specific target groups through standalone health camps with specialized doctors, point of care tests and provide medicines and spectacles.

Primary Education

Education not only empowers children to have a secure future but also helps them grow up as responsible national and global citizens. The Right to Education (RTE) Act which came into force in 2010 made education free and compulsory for all children in the age group of 6-14 years. But even a decade later, the learning curve has not been steady for many children in the country. The socio-economic conditions of parents and lack of proper learning in schools are hindrances which prevent many children from having education.

Residence Facilities

Residential care refers to long-term care given to adults or children who stay in a residential setting rather than in their own home or family home.

Social Care

Social support can help us cope with setbacks, solve problems, improve self-esteem and even manage health problems and stress. People who feel like they have the social support they need tend to have lower stress levels.
